Kalgaon village is in Dahivali, Shapur Taluka, District Thane. It is 22 kms from Shapur Town. The population of the village is 1051. The village has a Zilla Parishad School with classes from 1st to 7th Std. The School has 113 students (46 boys and 67 girls) and is managed by 5 teachers. The Secondary School is 3 kms away from Kalgaon.

The School was in a highly dilapidated condition. While the villagers were keenly interested in sending their children to the School, the absence of any worthwhile facility deterred the children. Our Society identified this school for upgradation like Khairpada. Renovation was carried out at a cost of about Rs. 24 lakhs. 20 slim computers were donated to this school.

In the very first year after renovation, the school bagged the 'Swachh Vidyalaya Puraskar' 2021-22 at the district level with a five star overall rating. It also secured the award in the sub-category of behaviour change and capacity building and toilets. A proud achievement for a school which has now become the delight of the students. The school was dedicated by Shri. M. V. Ramnarayan, Hon. Secretary at a function held on 27th April 2022.
