Projects - Kawathewadi

Kawathewadi is about 85 kms from Mumbai. Spread over 2.5 acres of land, it has a population of about 550 and 89 households. The villagers are Adivasis, hailing from the Pardhi community, a traditional nomadic tribe. The public perception is that they are criminals and hence stigmatized.
